Interview with the Middle Way Society

Here is a 30-minute interview for a podcast produced by The Middle Way Society. The Society was formed recently by Robert Ellis. He is a former member of the Triratna Buddhist Order (and also, incidentally, a very old friend of mine), who rejects what he considers the metaphysically based ideas of Buddhism, while wishing to preserve its general outlook. He particularly emphasises the philosophy of the Middle Way, which he sees as a principle of judgement.

The interview focuses on the secular mindfulness movement and the relationship between the religious and the secular aspects of Buddhism.  Also, as the blurb on the MWS website says: ‘[Vishvapani] talks about enlightenment, Jung and integration, the relationship of the Middle Way with the arts, incrementality and his agnostic position on karma and rebirth.’
